The Ayrshire Members’ Centre, Registered Charity No. SC000387, is one of the independent charities of members centres and friends groups that support the National Trust for Scotland, by fund raising, and providing talks and activities for those who share an interest in the Trust’s work.

We obtain information about you when you apply to become a member.

The personal information we collect is simply your basic contact details; name, address, telephone and email address.

We may use your information to send you communications about your membership, including details of talks and events.

We review our retention of personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations (for example the collection of Gift Aid requires we retain your signed agreement). We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as your membership is active.

When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely. It is stored on computer which is password protected, and additional hardcopies are kept in a safe location.
